I have just finished watching BBC's trauma and have noticed that some of the xrays have a "?" on instead of a L or R marker.

I work in the veterinary field and have never come across this - surely it doesn't mean "unsure which side is being radiographed??"

Hmm. Very perplexed!

Hi BoPeep, My husband is a vet and he hasn't come across this either. However my daughter is a nurse but its too late to phone her and ask. Will check tomorrow and see if she knows. Maybe another aber has the answer.

Thanks skylight (also glad that am not a total "dark-ages" vet for not knowing this too!)
I think you and my husband would get on although after 30 odd years he has become quite cynical in a funny kind of a way!!!!! all the best
