i've just seen the post - thank you. it wasn't that long ago when I got an eye exam (i would get headaches that I thought were due to eye-strain) but maybe its time to make a revisit!

Hi metagirl, thanks for acknowledging having seen my reply - I'm a worrier... But don't you worry, just make that call just in case. If for no other reason than that an expert will probably be able to provide you with ten other possible explanations, all of them more plausible and less dramatic than mine.
