I was wondering whats the weirdest or most disgusting thing you've found in the shop that a lovely customer has left? Also whats the weirdest customer you have had in, or a weird request by someone? I work in a clothes shop and a girl who i work with today was telling me that someone the other day found a used sanitary towel in one of the cubicles (rolled up in the wrapper)! She also said that before they once found a used tampon stuck to the wall behind a stool in a cubicle, and a used nappy left in one! i just dont understand why anyone would leave this kind of stuff?! i cant believe the cheek of some people to leave things like that in a changing room cubicle!
i dont know about weird but when i worked diy on the shop floor [work warehouse now,] people allways asked me how many rolls of wallpaper it will take to decorate my living room weres your mesurements i,d say , oh they would say to me i thought you might just know of the top of your head!!! the same with paint do you think one tin will do my bathroom, i.am thinking yes i,ll just get out my crystal ball! customers and they allways have to be right!!!
My friends daughter used to work in New Look - every night she had the wonderful job of sorting the shoe section and would find many pairs of worn shoes... people just came in, tried on a pair and left their old ones on the shelf! how cheeky is that?
Joby, fancy popping to new look with me on saturday? :oP
Well, i'm not in retail as such but did work on the sales desk of a phone company for a bit and we definitely got a load of weirdos!!
** people getting a new line connected, I ask, where do you live - answer , just at the bottom of the road near the postbox above the shop - do you know it?........you're about 300 miles away so unlikely, I would say!!!
** people calling thinking we were the council and wanted his driveway/rubbish sorted out
** an old man thinking we were the gas company and wanted someone to come around immediately and look at his hob!!
** a guy who called us about 20 times every night (night shift) and wanted us to describe what we were wearing - male or female!!
** loads of people asking what colour knickers you've got on and the odd heavy breather....including a dirty vicar!
** kids in phone boxes just shouting swear words or saying that they are stuck inside......until we tell them that we know the number they're calling from and tell them the police are on the way!
** one woman in labour who couldn't get through to her midwife.....we called her an ambulance
and stayed on the phone until they arrived!!!
can probably think of loads more - work on the faults desk now and get loads of nutters on there too!!
