I've got one at school , one at nursery and one who totters about clinging to my side with big pleading 'play with me mum' eyes. There just never seems to be enough hours in the day ....... and yet I still find time to wander in to AB. Never mind , it'll soon be the weekend again. Even though my kids will still be up at around 6 am , at least I don't have to run about like a woman possessed trying to get them out the door on time , or up from their beds without the usual 'five more minutes' plea. Funny how they don't want to get up early during the week but leap out of bed at the weekend and it's amazing how many 'sore stomachs' my eldest daughter has on gym day. She assures me she's not trying to pull a fly one !
Ooh Posy , you're a glutton for punishment ! Looking after your own kids is one thing but other people's ? lol. So you childmind in the morning before school ? Wow ! I have enough trouble trying to get my own kids up , ready and out the door in time never mind dealing with extra kids. How do you do it ? [Hanging my head in shame]
School mornings are my least favourite part of the day. Bedtime is superb ! That ahhhhh feeling ! It doesn't help matters when i'm out shopping and my 20 month old son decides to try and help himself to things in the shop ... like today when I was buying a pair of boots and only noticed halfway down the shopping mall that he was sitting with a pair of high heels on his lap. (Little toerag !) I had to go all the way back and slip them back onto the shelf, apologising to the staff who looked me up and down like something which they had scraped off their shoe. No wonder I feel frazzled ! He threw such a wee hissy fit as well when I took them off him. I'm getting worried about that boy. He seems to have developed too much of a liking for his sister's sparkly dress up tiaras and shoes ! I'm hoping he'll grow out of it.

Oh God posy - my kids back at school toorrow - have spent the day ironing uniform, sewing on labels etc etc . They have just spent half the hols in France wth my sis . We managed 10 days . Chances of getting them to bed before 10 pm? Zilch . Chances of waking them up at 7 am ? Zilch . I am not much better - but I did resign from my job today so I am a bit chilled !
I am not sure if i am having scary flashbacks or feeling glad my youngest is 19. I had kids at school from 1985 to 2003 , 18 years of to and from school, parents nights, sports clubs, swimming days, money for this, money for that, uniforms, school shoes! Homework assignments, sick days, making packed lunches, nativity plays, non-denominational seasonal plays, do i miss it all? Errrrrrr mmmmmm ooooooo,
I know what you mean - we're all back to normal but everything has exploded at work, but in a good way. I've been struggling to save an employment site and 200 jobs and last night at a meeting three companies i have been in touch with, with multimillions to spend , all wanting to take it over! I'm so shell shocked I can't believe it! And i had a fairly famous writer/TV presenter chat to me on the phone for over an hour ( he only rang up to say thank you for some work I'd done) and he rang again today! I only work part time and I feel like I've done a months work in two days. I'm off to bed to read my son a story and I might just stay there!!!
