I have to admit I am slightly lost, claireyfairy!
someone is hedging his bets, with the possible intention of getting back into your pants on a purely temporary basis.
Question Author
not to be too crude but the pants had disappeared about an hour before that!!!!!! And it's not like he has to say things like that to get into my pants. we have kind of an ongoing once a week food and F@&K thing going on. We both know the score so I'm at a loss why every so often (he's said it more than once) he still tells me that he loves me?
so you're sleeping with your ex-fiance? Is that right?
Claireyfairy thats exactly like my ex, the one I had round at weekend when I thought I wasnt wanted. He tells me Im a princess, sends me flowers yet he was the one that dumped me. He probably does still love you but youre got to stop this casual thing to make him realise just how much. My ex only wants what he cant have now, he has asked me out again and he is lovely but he dumped me back then for a reason, so he could easily do it again. Why dont you just get back with this bloke who loves you?
Question Author
getting back together isn't an option. I'm actually happy with the situation as it is as bizare as that sounds it's just a little confusing that he keeps saying that he loves me but panics if I say it to him (off my own back, not as a response to him saying it first).

AAARRGH. Dont they just drive you wild. I spit from my hubby 10 months ago (habitual liar), after 18 years. He comes down every other wkend to see us, and still tries to "pash" when we greet and when he leaves. All the usual bull is said, only i'm so onto him, i just turn it into a joke now. DO THEY THINK WE ARE STUPID OR SOMETHING!! Word of warning to all the guys out there who think they are playing us - Guess what - WE KNOW !!! Phew, feel much better now, lol. Thanx clairyfairy, brilliant Q.
Did you split with him then as if he is saying he still loves you but you dont want to get back with him. Do you think this is fair?
or maybe a man will just say anything after the johnson has been slobbered.
you did'nt say if you are seeing someone else, and is he?
Stevie - lmao 'the johnson has been slobered'
Question Author
the whole story gets quite complicated. But he ended it two years ago and doesn't want us to get back together. I did but like i said I am happy with the situation as it is at the moment. Neither of us is seeing anyone else now (we both were for a time I've been single for a year and he split with his girlfriend back in May - we were still in contact the whole time though)
It seems like its a case of he wants his freedom isnt ready to settle but hes keeping you hanging on because he wants you still there when he is ready. and I bet you will be there. You may be saying you're happy with that but there is always one that will get hurt.
Perhaps he`s gone all religious
You're being used.... simple as that. Get some self respect and you should be good to get on with your life.
How can you say she's being used when they are BOTH happy with the situation? You could equally say the that she's using him. Doesn't make sense. I think she has plenty of self respect.
I dont think either is being used. I think they just need to open their eyes as they seem very much in love with eachother
Question Author
Thanks for sticking up for me there nox. x
Just my opinion based on the limited facts given. You can still be happy being used... if that's what you want. If you're happy, great. But I don't think anyone with an ounce of self respect would be truly happy with 'food and a f**k' once a week. Again, just my opinion. Feel free to disregard it as you see fit.
Question Author
OBonio - your opinion has been noted and disregarded.
I was not asking for opinions on my relationship I was asking a general question in the vein of "if it was you". As i have stated previously I am happy with our relationship the way it is.
