I have some sympathy with crilly on this. B&S has become my least-visited forum because I grew weary of a lot of the stuff that gets posted. And before anyone flames me, I'm not trying to stop anyone chatting or having their "bit of fun" it's more that I feel disinclined to join in most of the debates that tend to happen here. I find the more straightforward Q&A forums a lot more interesting. This is a pretty rare visit to this forum for me!

Agree with crilly as well- Ed has kindly said that a certain amount of chat will be tolerated on B&S, however I do feel this is being taken advantage of and every other post is a chatty one thinly disguised as a question to try and please the pedants.

Well I have found this site very good for questions and answers also a chat. It is nice to help someone if you can.And I have had some great answers to my questions.After a while you get to "know" each other. I like that. Brenda x

I agree that sometimes the questions can get completely hi-jacked by the chat. I think the problem is that someone responds in a very amusing and funny manner and then everyone dives in with their comments. I have been guilty of doing this but it is very difficult not to respond to a very funny thread! I feel that sometimes less chat and more answers would probably be more useful to the person who has asked the question!

this seems to be the most popular question of late, i heard there was lots of problems with chatter bank, questions do get asked and answered, but i think its nice to have a little chat and there seems to be more people that dont mind than does, also if it gets to bad iam sure the ed whould intervinex
