Amusing shaped rash

I really dont know any of you well enough to share. But I cant let this one go.

I put a new strap on my watch and its bought me out in a rash shaped like a swastika. Its a bit worrying. Heres the link. Has anybody else had a weird shaped rash? Should I be on the look out for other runic symbols to appear on my body?

You will have to wear a long sleeve top for a while or you might get mobbed in the street.

Was the watch made in Germany by any chance?........

well, apparently the swastika (from Sanskrit स्वस्तिक svastika, from su "well", and asti "being", thus "good fortune" or "well-being"). The swastika is a sacred symbol in Hinduism and Jainism. The Hindu version is often decorated with a dot in each quadrant. This from wikipedia. So look at it this way ... it could be a sign of good things to come? Hope so anyway!

spurslady - weirdly enough I looked at the back of the strap today. It doesnt say where its made but right where the rash it, the manufactuers name is printed. The name says Hirsch which I think is a German/Jewish name.

Looks like a nasty nickel allergy you have there Booldawg! I have one just like it around my belly button at the mo..darn that new belt :o(

I have an allergy to nickel too.

What was recommended to me and it does help as I have to do it with gold too, is to coat the underside of the watch, belt or ring etc. with clear nail varnish.

It stops the rash as the metal is not in direct contact with your skin any more plus you dont have to go and shell out for nickel free replacemants. ( unless you are allegic to nail varnish to!)

I think its heat rash as I've not worn a watch for several months and this arrived with a week of wearing it again.

It certainly looks more like nickel allergy to me..and it looks like it's from the watch itself, not the strap?

it is possible for nickel allergy to just appear, especially if you haven't worn any metal for a while. Just a thought :o)
