I've smoked for 35 years and have been off them for 8 weeks. I had laser treatment. I have been really good but have been feeling a bit "not on this planet" if you know what I mean. The urge is still there, especially when having a drink or two but have managed so far. Has anyone else had this doom and gloom feeling? On the plus side I feel much better apart from being really tired but the wrinkles are not so deep!! I think it must be all in the head!

8 weeks well done you deserve a medal and should be really proud of yourself keep it up.
Well done to you for giving up! I gave up smoking 22yrs ago and I still get the urge to have one. Don't give in, you will continue to feel better.
Hi Skylight Keep it up.
I stopped twice and am now thinking I must do it for ever now. I know smoking is affecting me and I have heart problems so I am a bit of d@@@ head.
The feeling of doom and gloom is a good description but 8 weeks is along time and you should now be on the downward path so please dont give in Rgds Al
