I know this sounds daft but I seem to have what can only be described as writers block for the last year! I'm not a writer but im at uni n sometimes i cant even structure a proper sentence (on paper) I never had this problem before but i feel its getting worse and im beginning to feel really stupid and thick. I know what I want to say but I don't seem to be able to say it. Has anyone got any ideas on why this is happening and what I can do about it? I

Oh me too! I put it down to either:
1. Overwork and stress
2. Lack of enthusiasm for what you're studying
3. Poor diet & lack of water (you'd be surprised) - also lack of excercise.

I'm hoping it's just a phase (though I've had it since I was 21 and I'm 24 now :os)
i also have this, i think its the fact my job doesnt really require me to think, but its mainly speech i have trouble with, ive become slow to react and ill have to think of words that i know, i just cant get them out, i've been gettting quite worried, i feel quite stupid at times, im 23, its maybe to do with the age? or maybe we'r lazy
is that the reason for your AB name ih8503 or do you mind if i call you ih ;o]
100% agree with chrissiekins, especially on points 1 and 2. You need a rethink as to whether uni/thecourse is right for you. I have seen this happen to someone close to me and it took a long while to get over because she kept on trying until almost at breakdown level. She is an exceedingly intelligent person with excellent writing skills but in the end couldn't even put pen to paper or even think. It would probably be worth seeing a counsellor at Uni if possible - I am sure they are used to this problem.

Good luck.

Strange im 21 so maybe its somet to do with people born in the 80's lol!!!!
I am a bit lazy at times, and im doing a degree in social work which i love. I think it could be something to do with diet as mine is crap! Also I don't exercise so it could be that too.
Anyway thanks everyone
