As well as the posh places like L'oreal etc, I have been going to my local college. It can take ages, but not only do I get a free or nearly free hairdo but also the pleasure of helping someone along the path to their chosen career.
Also, at that level, once the student has had a go, the tutor comes over & puts the final touches, so you do get a good job done. If the worst happens, well it does grow out!
I used to be on a list of models for a top hairdressing school, they would ring me up if they wanted someone with long hair, or I would be asked if I would like to try a new product. It was a lot of fun!
