This kind of question makes me question those who believe in God, you can't see him/her/it , so does that mean it's not real either?

Yes I am a believer several members of my family have seen them I was sceptical until it actually happened to me.
When I first started staying over at my boyfriends house I was too shy to go up to bed on my own when he fell asleep on the sofa. I would wait in the cold until he woke up about 5am or so. His dad saw me one night and said just go on up.
I started doing this, One night im lying there on my own when I heard this very loud screaming in my ears, and like someone kicking mad out of the bed from underneath, I totally sh*t myself and would have run out of there to my sisters up the road if i wasn't so scared.
I never heard it again but the thing is I live there now we bought the place when his dad sadly passed away and it is now my son's bedroom.
I don't think anything has happened to them or that it ever will, I hope not.

Deffo believe. We lived in a haunted house when we were first married.
Our spirit would steal and hide things - pan lids, pepper pots etc. and would make scratching noises in the night. Sometimes, if I sat in the chair opposite the kitchen door, I would catch a glimpse of it from the corner of my eye, but there would be nothing there when I looked properly.
We think the spirit was a clown. It used to appear to my five-year-old and stand staring at him. Just recently, his brother says he remembers seeing it too, but he thought nothing of it - and the wallpaper was plain, so it wasn't that.
I was also told that the first owner of the house was a bit mad and went OTT when they had some building work done there in the 1930s. She finally killed herself by putting her head in next door's gas oven whilst they were on holiday.

Years ago I would have said that I was not a believer. Experiences in my own life during the past 20 years have changed my thinking. I now do believe! This is mainly because I have experienced dying and (according to my doctors) actual death. These experiences led me to re-evaluate a lot of things I previously thought. I now live in a house that had a ghost when we moved in (a little girl, who died in the house when it was first built nearly 140 years ago). All the previous owners had experienced her, except for the couple before me, who had two very large vicious dogs. However, since I told the local priest who visited that the little girl was welcome in my house, she has gone. I never saw her, only heard her, but others in the house next to us did see her. When I wanted to take a window out to expand the main part of the house, we found that the stone below the window was charred. The village records show that the little girl burned to death at this window (which is now a french door).
Every christmas when Santa had been, in the morning we would go to my mum's room to open our presents, tradition in our family. My dad died 6 years ago and because i have a young sister we still uphold the tradition of opening prezzies in mums room. Last xmas i was at my mums house and we all heard a bunch of keys rattling downstairs, i thought it was my older brother come from his house to see my sister open her prezzies. I went to look and saw someone walk past the bottom of the stairs. I went down thinking it was him but there wasn't anybody down there. I definately saw someone, and I like to think that it was my dad, if not who knows????

no cant be in dream state,
When i was little the first house i lived in was haunted, my dad was a dick who used to go out drinking nearly every night and my poor mum used to be on her own down stairs,
she would see the previous tenant of the house walk from the kitchen through the living room and go up the stairs, it got so bad mum had to sit on outside steps to wait for lose r to come home. my younger brother when he was 3 said about a lady who sat on his bed at night watching him, my neighbour across the road asked himto describe her, when he did she said it was the old lady who had died there and he looked like her grandson. 3 year olds rarely lie about stuff like that

i am always amazed by the fact that nearly everybody has some experience of supernatural things.....and please dont think i dont believe them...but there's no proof , nothing that would make me change my mind...in this day and age surely it wouldnt be too much to ask that it would be recorded on camera for us all to see?..x
believer.
In the last house we lived in, we had a dog and two cats. one evening my wife and I were watching tv, the 2 cats were on a rug in front of the fire, the dog was laying asleep in the centre of the room. Suddenly the 2 cats jumped into the air and shot out of the room into the kitchen. Then the dog looked up as if she was looking at someone standing in front of her. Then she looked as if someone was trying to pick her up, as if she was being lifted by her front legs. The funniest part was when I looked at the cats....one cat was on top of the other, eyes popping out looking into the room whilst this was going on. As suddenly as it started, it ended, but when I went to see if the dog was ok, she was freezing cold and shivering. The cats returned to the room, and settled down in front of the fire, as they do!. I took the dog to the vet the next day to get her checked over, in case she'd had a fit, or something, but she was all clear.
The one thing I must add, is whilst this was going on, and immediately after, my wife and I were not in the slightest worried, in fact we both agreed there was an overwhelming feeling of calm and peace.
There were many other things happening in that house, especially the feeling of being watched, this was always when I was in the bathroom, or on the stairs. It was really uncomfortable in there, or on the stairs...made decorating or anything difficult. There are more things i could relate to, some other time perhaps.

i believe but.....
i find that most peoples story starts with " i was asleep and woken by a...." or "I had just got into bed and ..."
and to me, that very fact negates everything you are about to say....you are dreaming!!
its the same as if i told you i had seen a flying barbecue with multicoloured batwings after i had just dropped a trip - "but it was real though, honest!!!" not buying it are you?
if the same thing happens in broad daylight while you are wide awake ( not dozing on the sofa) and perhaps other people see it too, then i will believe.
i am a sceptic - not of ghosts etc - but of the people who claim to have seen them.

Metz, mu mum is a qualified healer so she does all that sort of thing but they do have mediums on every week. My Mum always says some are rubbish but there are a few., such as one who came the other week, who really are excellent. Same with anything, some are just fakes but i think my Mum has seen enough to spot the genuine ones.
I went to a medium years ago and she was fantastic. I went in to see her as a bit of a sceptic and came out with a whole different attitude.
