Dating, it's all a bit strange and scary, I think. Nothing is quite as nerve racking as going out with someone new..
So what were your best and worst dates?

The first brought his mate - not a good start
The second guy was a policeman, working for tactical aid unit. It was lovely weather and we went for drinks to a bar in Manchester where we could sit outside. At regular intervals a van full of coppers drove past heckling us which he thought was highly amusing. No second date for him.
The best (but with the worst outcome) was being taken to a very nice hotel in Manchester (not a first date so it was OK) being taken out for a lovely dinner then drinks and partying at Tiger Tiger, room service breakfast in the morning with a late check out. Nice enough but then he took me shopping. I'd just moved into a new house and he knew I wanted some nice artwork. We went to a gorgeous place and he bought me the nicest painting. A keeper you might think but no, a couple of days later he admitted he was married.....story of my life.

Wow, garythecat, i had a great date with a guy from the Manchester TAU! no heckling though, we went to Liverpool and had a great time at the Mathew St festival.
Worst...hmmm...well it was a lovely place for drinks and diner (Worsley for any of you up round this way) but he got through 6 pints through the date and got all drunk and creepy and starting making remarks about goodnight kisses and coming back to his...argh!!! He also used to text me daily referring to me as babe all the time which i found a bit creepy.
Best, had a lovely time with the sweetest guy just over a week ago, we chatted for hours over dinner and drinks in the Gaucho Grill (highly recommended!). I didn't want to leave but it was nearly 1am when we did, had no idea we'd been chatting for sooo long. Had a sweet lil kiss onthe lips goodbye in the taxi, being a gentleman he dropped me off.
Then nothing :( not heard from him and am gutted.

awww...jenna thats so sad. Best date ever then nothing.
One of my best dates involved wearing a pie on my face for part of the afternoon, one of the worst involved going 30 miles away for a day out but being too hung over to go any farther than the pub next to the station, one of the most annoying had to be with the guy who stroked my eyebrows, one of the sweetest was the guy who told me to "stop looking at him all pretty".

This isn't really a date but the best time I ever had was 31st December 1999. I went to a private party at a local nightclub. It was cool cos there was a load of kids there so there was a real family atmosphere. I met an amazing blonde girl called Sonia. Lets just say that I did my bit to help planes fall out of the sky that night. ;)
best ever still was in the Summer of 1976, it was hot, a day out with the Love of my life (he died a couple of years ago), we first of all went to Liverpool and did a tour of the Museum, the one with the big stone statues outside near St Johns, we spent a few hours in there, he stopped all the clocks in the clock bit, then we went for lunch somewhere in Liverpool, then we went to knowsley safari park and had a drink near there later on, then we went to Wigan casino but it was very quiet there, so we went to the Toby In in Skem and stayed there til way late. it was just the craziest day ever arranged at short notice and it was brilliant.
The worst? I think when I was 17 a student from the local teacher Training College in Ormskirk (Edge Hill) asked me out, (I worked in a Record Shop) he took me to a folk club, (it was above the Queens Head on Moor Street, what that was all about i have no idea. I wore a black Mini Skirt, white patent platform shoes, (3ins heels) orange skinny rib polo neck and a brown suede Afghan coat with white sheepskin trim ( I fitted right in at the folk club lol)
