I have quinine tablet from my doctor, which I take when I get cramps in my legs. My doctor has also advised I eat two or more bananas per day and also plenty of fresh tomatoes. I have noticed some improvement when I remember to do this. Hope this helps. Oh, and he said no coffee after 4pm :(
Oh and kts123, try massaging your legs with a good moisturising cream or if your partner can do it for you, that is even better. My legs have become so much better since my darling partner has been massaging them every night for me. Also, try lying on your bed with a cushion under your knees, that can sometimes help too. It is usually a problem with circulation. Hope you feel better soon.
I don't have restless legs as such but used to get itchy legs of a nightime ..similar I suppose. When I was working and on my feet all day it used to be awful. I took and still take Antistax every day. It's a capsule which contains red vine leaf .This opens up the capilliaries and helps the blood flow to legs.I also use Antistax leg gel which cools them .You can get these in Superdrug or Boots. Worth a try.. but they take a week or two to kick in being a natural remedy..
