Questions/statement to ensure speed dating success

Hi folks

I'm going speed dating tonite and I'm sh***ing myself!

Does anyone have any SENSIBLE advice as to what I could ask or say to enhance my chances pls?

REALLY? god i so have you down wrong in my head - i have this idea that you are secretly very confident (you seem confident on here i guess).

Yeah done the dating sites - dated a guy then found out he had a very dodgy secret (aka he was actually bent and looking for a girl to take home to his family so they wouldnt guess) but i worked him out in the end. Just my bloody luck - but cant be done with all that - seems you just find people with too many secrets in those places or they are very shallow.

Plus at home i rarely go online now (i am training 2hrs a night, 6 days a week) so dont have much time to sit online). I dont really want a 'full time boyfriend' lol just a guy i go out with to the pub here and there and have a kiss and a cuddle with lol.

See, I told you that EVERYONE has me wrong! :o) I'm shy when it comes to women. Maybe you wrongly ASSUMED I was confident becasue I am not frightened to a) stick up for myself and b) I speak my mind? BTW, both of the aforementioned traits are WRONGLY perceived by people as me being argumentative and/or aggressive - I'm not either of those. In fact, I'm the COMPLETE opposite!

no no no - i am really not that sort of girl. i am pretty old fashioned in my views (shocks people that know me) but i believe in only doing things (if you know what i mean) when i am in love. Never have and never will be into one night stands and the casual thing - just isnt me. No i am looking for a guy with respect and who wants to go out get drunk and have a kiss and a cuddle lol (full stop). Yep i guess i am a rare breed. i will never understand why people want to sleep around ewww.

Well, I'm pretty old-fashioned in my views too (why do a lot of other men think that women deserve to be treated badly?!). However, I tend to "live for today", so if a lady felt an "urge" I'd be happy to accomodate her if I felt that she wasn't "loose"! :o)

I am not confident enough to say I'm really good looking, but I've been told on the (dating sites) that I am. I certainly don't think I've been hit with an ugly stick! :o)

Clark Kent? Nooooooooooooooo! :o) I'm 6 feet tall, blue eyes, "scrunched" brown hair. I'd describe my build as medium. I used to go to the gym, so a bit muscular, but certainly not a muscle-bouind meathead! Oh and I've been told I've got good legs and bum! :o)

ha ha my ideal man would be either geeky, glasses and shy or big (podgy wise) big smile and heart. Not really into 'gorgeous' guys and that myself.

My mates all think i have strange taste lol saying that my main requirements are that they are clean and have no disgusting habits. As long as there is a spark then thats the main thing.

Well I can't be that much of a honey - I've been single for just over a year and had NO success on the dating sites! I always meet the time-wasting, arrogant, anti-men, still in love with my ex NUTTERS! :o)

Nah that�s not it - i think you are just looking in the wrong places - i haven�t even told you about the others off that site before i met bi-boy lol lets just say the first guy experience you would wet yourself laughing at = he turned up with no money, ordered a �20 lunch that I had to pay for (I am too nice), the classic quote of the night was �I love you, my car is outside, lets shag) after I said NO WAY he then he fell asleep (was a big lunch after all) I tried to escape and in a packed pub he sat there crying my name and saying YOU DON�T LOVE ME (he seemed so normal on the phone and online.

The second was even better � he was at least 20 years older than he said (and he said he was 38), told me he was a policeman (turned out he was a civil servant) he had a cap on and when he took it off he had a grey comb over, he was really really weird and obsessed with the size of my boobs � to top it off he was playing me against about 3 other girls off the site.

Lol I am off date sites and all that now � just sticking to reality lol. xx

Well, I've tried dating sites, even tried shagging sites (and got nothing) and speed dating (which was really good fun!).

I've not got any single mates, the mates I have got don't know anyone who is single, so I'm rather stumped!

Well i work with is like you too - there are lots of people in the same boat. i always think if you havent met the 'one' in your 20's then it is so much harder.

God speed dating sounds like the worse way you could possibly ever meet someone. I think you have to be a certain type of person for that stuff. Mind i was never the clubbing type either and i always associate the two as being rather similar (in the type of people that go) maybe.

I was never into clubbing - I went many times and was always the one who never pulled! :o(

The speed dating was fun and I'd definitely do it again.

Where in the US you going? I like the US and Canada and have been there a few times for hols, but never for work.
