weight to dress size ratio

Strange question I know, but I'm going to ask anyway!!:-)

I am 5ft 1" and I weigh about 14 stone. I am at the moment a size 18/20 (more 20 than 18!!)
If I weighted about 11 stone, what size would I be then?

I'm 5'1" and weigh 9st 6lb (got weighed yesterday) and am currently a size 12 on the bottom & 10/12 on the top.

I was just under 11st last summer & was a 16 but a lot also depends on your weight distribution and build etc

I fould that every stone you lose you will go down one dress size. so i say 11 stone you would be a 14

Blade, I wish what you say was true. What about us weirdos who are 14/16 on the bottom and 22 on the top? I am 5'6" tall. I don't think there is any fast rule to the question morbidstorm has asked. We each lose inches in different ways and in different places. It is nearly impossible for me to buy dresses or suits, no matter what weight I lose, as the size difference is always there. I've had this problem all my life, but it doesn't mean that we can't find nice fashionable clothes to fit. We just have to look harder. Are you planning on losing that much? If so I wish you every success, but please be careful how you go about it. If you need support I am sure a lot of us will be here to give you moral support and a hug every now and then. Best wishes.

Thank you all for your answers - Carakeel, I understand your problem - I am a size 18 on the bottom, and purley because of my bust size am a 20/22 on the top. I am what has often been referred to as top heavy, but that doesn't mean I don't have a hefty rear to boot!!!
I am planning to lose that much, My target is 9st 6 - 10st.
I will do it properly though - healthy eating and exercise is what will do it for me.
