I have a short temper and get really angry quickly - how can I learn to control my anger?

Interestingly enough anger comes from having expections not met. You are going through life expecting this and that, and guess what... it's not happening the way you want is it!! Stop having expectations and you'll stop the anger. Also BREATH before you speak - deep breaths - a conscious effort doing this will give your intellect some space to think before you speak... There is a natural law in this world called Karma. It means whatever action you give out, you recieve an equal re-action back. So if you are being angry to people then you will find that they will react the same way back to you. Likewise if you give out good actions then you recieve good actions back - isn't that a nice thought. Meditation would also help - there are all types, however I have found Raja Yoga the most effective.
