Look as closely at short-distance ones, they are more likely to bear the kind of fruition you likely wish.

I've been in a long distance relationship for a little over a year now and it has been extremely difficult. I don't think there is any way we could do it for very much longer. We will be reunited in 47 days. yaayyy!!

I think it depends on how long of a distance. If you are close enough to be able to see each other on a weekly or monthly basis, then it would probably be easier. Right now, I live in the UK and my wife lives in New Mexico. So it is very difficult to visit each other frequently.
