My father dying when I was little ( alternately think that was the best / worst thing that ever happened to me, still can't decide)
Realising I can't change the whole world, nor save people from themselves and going to prison (no good deed goes unpunished)
Meeting my second wife ( just wish it hadn't been at my wedding to my first)
Seeing my children born
Forcing myself to forgive my mother for allowing my father to beat me and with her making our relationship work to it's greatest potential

Should do mine really, only fair :) Ok...
1) Being with my beloved nan when she passed away.
2) Walking away from my former fiancee, the only man I have ever truely loved.
3) My graduations, law degree, law school and my admission ceremony as a solicitor. Proving to everyone that despite everything I could do it.
4) Helping run a youth camp in Romania and seeing how different things are out there, espcially for the street kids i spent time with.
5) So many moments during my voluntary work at a hospice, with a women's refuge, the disabled and all sorts, main one I think was having enough intuition to realise someone was in trouble and keep on when others dismissed it and then helping to save his life.
Sod it... 6) When I was in hospital with pnuemonia and suspected meningitis, had been rushed in by ambulance both times and had an amazingly peaceful feeling it wouldn't be so bad to die, been a lot less scard of dying since then.

The best and worst .. you have all been so courageous and my heart goes out to those who have been through such hard times. Do I have your courage? Well, I will try:
Best the day my firstborn son Kevin was born.
Worst: Feb. 18th 2000, the day he died in my arms, three days before his 21st birthday.
Best: the day my beautiful daughter was born.
Worst: the day I had to tell my daughter and her little brother that their older brother would never ever walk though our door again.
Worst: the day I had to tell my children I was dying of bone cancer.
Best: the day I was told that I had won my battle against bone cancer against all odds.
Worst: the day I died and was gone long enough for them to fill out the mortuary forms.
Best: the day my doctor and I burned the forms!!!!!
Best: the days on which my grandchildren were born. I have now got five!
Worst: Each day I come to the realisation that Kevin will never see them or hold them in his arms!
Best: The day after I left my first control freak husband who thought battering me acceptable.
Worst: the day before I made the decision to leave. I should not have waited so long.
Best: the day my Irish Wolfhound Finnegan saved a childs life
Worst: the day I had to say goodbye to Finnegan, my most loyal companion.
Best: the day I realised I was in love with my present partner
Best: The day I realised how much he loves me!
I wish all of you who have been so honest and open about the often traumatic things in your life health, love and happiness for all the years to come! You gave me courage!

1.The births of my 3 lovely children
2.Listening to my severely epileptic daughter tell me how she and her friends from a special school for epileptic children that she attended at the time, formed an outreach group to go around to schools and colleges and other organisations to try and tell them about epilepsy from the viewpoint of an Epilepsy sufferer. On the the morning of the very first talk, her three friends, due to the stress prior to the talk, all suffered epileptic seizures and were unable to attend, so my Daughter carried on regardless. She is my true hero!!
3. Leaving my 2nd wife and seeing the life in front of me.(mutual agreement)
4. Finding the most wonderful woman in the world who I am with to this day and will be forever.
