showering after sex

is it common to have a shower immediately after sex. I don't like lying in the mess for longer than 5 mins but in the films people have sex and go straight to sleep which seems a bit icky.

Before sex when at home, makes you feel much more comfortable with each other. No chance though with impromptu sessions e.g. park, woods beach etc. Definitely not after. That's the time to cuddle and snuggle.

Assume by what you've said that you mean in bed. Roll over to dry bit. If you are going to shower after, don't you think that you are turning it into a mechanical act and will be washing away the joy and pleasure that you should have just shared ?

Make it during and you can act like a pi55ed up torville and dean by skating all round the shower cubicle.....Just stay celibate it's easier in the long run and then you don't get screwed in more than one sense of the word.

Personally I tend to pass out straight after sex and also try to ensure that Mrs skelly has to sleep in the icky bit. After all, I think I deserve that luxury since I do all the hard work. Aint I the perfect man!

Hmmm! I think what the answers show you is that there's no such thing as common! Some of us apparently haven't had it in a while, some of us regret ever doing it (!) and some of us would have you believe they're Victorian Dad!

All of which proves nothing save that what you do after sex is entirely down to you and shouldn't be a source of concern!

For what it's worth, I do like to have wash afterwards, but normally wait until after the kissing and cuddling bit.

Directly after sex I generally run to the shed and get the Karcher pressure washer out, that and Domestos everythings sorted. Only kiddin wait till the morning then have a shower.

gotta say i agree that having a shower during sex (you can do each others backs) is the best way but i do sometimes find that it's nice to wash afterwards but i usually wait until the morning or it seem kinda rude

depends what time of day the sex has happened, morning...definately a shower after, but last thing at night...no way, just stay cuddled up and fall asleep

Showers are before sex and during sex. Definately not after, that's too clinical. If you're a *shower after sex* guy or gal what do you do when you're having sex where there's no shower available ?
