exzema remedies??
7 Answers
Help, i am 25 and i have had exzema all my life. I used to have it terrible on my hands but slowly grew out of it... or so i thought. Over the last 2 years it has been slowly creeping back to a bad state but this time on my feet as well. I have it down the insides of my feet and it's extremely itchy and has many weepy blisters. I have tried everything and can't get it under control. I have recently moved and have changed doctors, by doing this they do not know how i usually suffer from this and have given me steroid creams i have had before. I don't like using steroid creams and would much rather try more natural remedies. Does any one else suffer from this and if so, what do you use??
Not only is it uncomfortable, it is embarrassing and i often get so upset about it.
Please help...

There are loads of natural remedies out there for eczema but it can be a case of trial & error to find what works for you!
You could also go to see a nutritionist as some changes in your diet can be beneficial - the most common is an intolerance to dairy products - try changing to soya milk and cutting out all dairy (cheese, ice-cream etc) for 2 weeks and see if it makes any difference, then slowly start to reintroduce it.
Here are a coule of products to get you started - hope it helps

I used to use something in which i soaked my hands in but it stained them like fake tan. Worked a treat but the doctor stopped giving to me because it was withdrawn. I also used to have cod liver oil and honey moist square patches that worked a treat but cant them anymore either.
Will have a look in superdrug for dead sea salt aka pixi, fingers crossed!
i can't cut out dairy, im a vegetarian... really would leave me with nothing to eat! i will cut down on it though to see if it helps.
Thank petes_dragon those sites are really helpful (even if they might cause me to spend!)
Thanks so much guys!

i have always had exzema since i was a child. tried all the creams nothing ever worked, or it did but not for long. then i got pregnant. totally cleared up through the pregnancy so i thought that was the end of it but soon returned once i had had my daughter. THEN i started using sunbeds, ok they arent that great for you either but my exzema has completely cleared up and the tan has covered my scars too! been doing that for about a year now and other than the odd patch here and there i have had none! i seriously recommend it, i know how exzema knocks your confidence (and is rather uncomfortable) so it definitly worth a go!! let me know if it helps!
