If you bought a lucky dip lottery ticket to put it in someone's birthday card and then they won the jackpot, how would you feel?

Cant hear you pippa. La La La. Ha Ha I have no idea I never looked.
FunkPizz and 4skinalot, you are most agreeable today. I like to set the standard and see it slide down from there.
Well I aint looking either!

Go on I dare you pip
I can't. I have run out of retina bleach.
The reason I'd be so f****d off, is that I was so lazy as to not have thought of and gotten a proper pressie. That's the only reason I'd ever buy someone a 1 present witha 14m - 1 chance of it becoming worth any more!
Well I had a look, but only at the first 17 pictures!! Then my sight went temporarily!!

Why thankyou Octicklepuss!
As long as they took me for a pint or 2. You know the risks giving such a gift in the first place, just don't make your frustration known. Yeah you should be pleased, but it's natural to feel a bit gutted.
Why not just buy them a lucky dip and when you see what numbers are on the ticket ,buy another one with those numbers on it.,then you both either win or lose---problem solved!
keith, don't be ridiculous, that means spending 2 instead of 1 !!
Question Author
actually thats a great idea keith :-)

Maybe thats why then, you know for definate you wouldnt be ignored. I think I'll just stick a useless piece of paper in a card. :-)
i did that - gave my friend a card with a lucky dip in it and she said i could have 10% of her winnings if she won anything...

she ended up winning a tenner and brought me a lucky dip with my 10% share and guess what i won!

...nothing!
I have bought tickets for family and friends before and would be absolutely delighted if they did win. That's the whole point of buying them the ticket, isn't it? Mind you if they were adamant about wanting to give me a share of it ... I wouldn't say no. LOL :o)
