Elvis Presley never got over the loss of his twin. What would you say to a remaning twin, to ensure they had a fulfilling life?

My dad was also a twin, but his twin died at birth. I would say that everything happens for a reason and there will always be a connection even if you didn't know your twin. Then I would say to enjoy their life to the full and follow every hope and dream not matter how small or ridiculous, as they were given the chance to live through fate and they should grab that chance and do with it what they will.
Elvis lost his twin before he ever got to know him. I have my twin, but we have suffered a permanent rift in our relationship. I am often made to feel ashamed that i am not close to my twin. Just because someone is/was your twin does not make them closer than any friend you could have. Sharing a womb is just geography! I hate to say it, but i would have rather lost a twin before i knew them, than have to grow up with them, and come to realise that there is no bond there at all. Losing anyone you really love is a total wrench, but the scale of the loss should not be judged on genetic rarity!
It's a myth that all twins are close. My father was a twin and had no close bond with his sister, didn't see her for years. when she was ill he didn't visit her and when she died didn't even go to her funeral. I also know another set of twins who don't have a close bond. They don't hate each other but are quite indifferent to each other.
