Contrasting Colours

Argggh! I don't know where to put this now .

Earlier this year in the Long Tall Sally sale I bought a deep claret coloured velvet jacket - to good a bargain to leave on the rail - the thing is I'm pretty good at putting colours together but this has sort of stumped me. I'd like to be able to wear it during the day as opposed to using evening colours like gold/silver. Any ideas for contrasting colours to give a rich autumn winter look?
