What should I believe?

I've taken 2 pregnancy test and they both came out positive then i went to the doctor. first the lab lost my urine sample, then they told my doctor that i didn't leave a urine sample then the sample they tested came back negative. what should i do?

Tell your Doctor you have no faith in the result with all the messing about and request another one.

it is possible to get a false negative but not a false positive. The home pregnancy tests were correct Id say.
Speak to your GP again and explain that you want a second test

There are medical conditions that could give you a false postitive result, maybe even a faulty test if you had tests from the same batch/pack. However, both of these are highly unlikely and sending a urine sample to the lab has plenty of opportunities at various points for human error to step in.
Go to your local family planning clinic where they will test you on the spot. In my neck of the woods you dont have to give a urine sample after having done a home test. Your next step would have been straight to the midwife here.

Redcrx is right: a positive result on a home test means you're pregnant. No question. The only 'false' is a false negative.

Quizmonkey..this is totally not true. Hence why it warns you in a test packet. You may have a hormonal imbalance that can cause this. Infact even ovarian cysts can cause you to have a false positive result. Its not very common for a test to be wrong but it can be.

Bearing in mind up to 1 in 4 women could have PCOS with having actual cysts, I would have thought a false positive is a little more common than you would imagine.
