My husband has alopecia and took the plunge yesterday and shaved off his remaining hair. He will need to shave his scalp every day for work (he will continue to wet shave his beard hair). Can anyone recommend an ELECTRIC shaver for the scalp, without going too expensive please? We need to buy one A.S.A.P. Thank you in anticipation of some speedy and helpful suggestions.

Good for him! His bravery will be worth it - the liberation of not being a 'closet baldie' as Clive James has it will be worth hios new daily routine. As for a razor - have a chat with a couple of local barbers and check what they use - should give you an idea of prices and performance.
A work colleague shaves his head and does not recommend any electric shaver: he swears by the Mach 3 wet shaving approach powered by the sense of touch.

To Andy Hughes & J2buttonsw: thank you both for your answers. Sorry it has taken so long to rate your answers but we have had a hectic few weeks! My husband uses an electric shaver every day before work and then I give him a wet shave every few days. Good job he trusts me, eh!
There is a shaver by Wahl for about 25-30. You just need one that sets to '0'. My friend has had three and says the Wahl one is the best.
