Split up with my boyf a month ago after five years together. Was in a rut that i needed to get out of. have since moved out of my parents and am now an independent girlie. Am so much happier and my life is going in a completely different direction to what it was. Best thing I've done in a long time!! If it needs doing just go for it. You never know what's round the corner so make the most of it xxx

definately. My cousin was a happy go lucky girl when we were growing up, did well at school was going to uni, with a nice boyfriend. Then she got into drugs and it completely turned her life around

Yes i have hands on experience that this IS possible. A year and a half ago i my life was almost over (yes, literally) but i shan't go in to that.. I spent 8 months recovering in hospital and since being discharged i have a whole new life. New home,new job and completely new start. I was at rock bottom but mangaed somehow to pull myself out. I have a happy life now and intend to live it to the full. Though without my friends and family for support i wouldn't be here today!x

my mom ran away from home at 16,her parents didn't let her come back home,she became a stripper,(thats how she met my dad),then she met my birth father.she was happy. but then she got pregnant.with me.and my dad wantted her to get an aborsion but mom wouldn't so he pushed her down the stairs,then she ran away.she dicided to turn her life around,all b/c of me,she wantted me to have a good life,it was kinda ruff but we made it and im happy,my mom met this really nice guy i love him,he's the best dad in the world!!
so yea u can turn ur life around.

Good perspective you have on parenting there hinder, your 100% right, parenting is about who parents, genetics have nothing to do with it.
Yes you can turn your life round.
I was violent ( had been to prison for GBH etc ), unpleasant, uncaring, had drink and hard drug issues, all singing all dancing nasty piece of work.
Now healthy living, occasional drinker etc, stable, happy, generally reasonable bloke with lovely wife and family.

My then girlfriend (now wife) gave me an ultimatum, me or the drink, I chose her.

Absobloodylutely!! Three years ago a boozy, stressed out Bank Manager. Met a guy in passing through a friend and took a chance on us. Took a career break. Spent a year and a half in Azerbaijan where I still have some wonderful friends. Came home for the birth of our daughter in August last year. Back to work after Christmas - job sharing - so no stress (hopefully). I still enjoy the booze - but control myself better. So yes - we all have the power within to turn our lives around. I believe the help of a professional can be a huge advantage - outside looking in without prejudice! If its on your mind sandrajo - Go For It!!
