Wedding ideas
32 Answers
Hi. Can you please help. We're starting to plan a wedding on a budget. We like to be unique and I'm looking for ideas/ alternatives for wedding ideas.
e.g - I like the idea of having golfish in a bowl as centrepieces, chocolate cake instead of wedding cake etc. Please give me all the ideas you can. Thanks all :-)

Luckily for us a friend of ours is a cake maker so the cake's covered. I love Patricia's idea or how about a mountain of chocolate profiteroles? Come on the rest of you, boyo asked a proper question and deserved a decent answer!
What about actual plants for your centerpieces, that way u can keep em after and always be reminded of the day. they dont have to be expensive ones and you can wrap the pots in fancy paper and ribbons.
Or what about fake flowers and twig things, you can get em in loadsa bright colours or you could spray em one colour with spray paint, like glittery silver if its a winter wedding.

Have a christmas wedding and hace a mini christmas tree on each table with choccies as decorations instead of wedding favours. The bride could wear a red velvet dress with white fur trims. You could have a sleigh to arrive in or pulled by sheep (hear there are plenty down your way) You could wear white( unless you ARE the bride and its one of those new fangled arrangements.) Think candles and glitter. Fake snow (or the real stuff) Hot chocolate, toddy etc.
Not only is the golfish idea cruel it's just not practical.. the water will cloud... kids will try and fish it out (sorry about that) and feed them wedding cake. Fish bowls do look stunning though... try filling with water and twirling those long fine reeds around the inside of the bowl so they are pressed against the sides and float a couple of flowers on top. You could have a balloon or two, secured by slim ribbon to a weight hidden by the reeds, coming out of the centre of the bowl. When is the wedding boyo bach?
