'Pouring with rain' but what does snow do?

Just been to visit my 90 year old Uncle and he asked us 'if it pours with rain what does snow do?' and none of us could think of anything. Any ideas?

And simplehead snow doesn't make us stay in here 'cos it never snows (I live on the South Coast), my nearly 9 year old son has never made a snowman, the only snow he's seen was 1/2 and inch that stayed on the ground for 20 minutes. The school stopped all the lessons so all the kids could go out and paly in it it was such an event!

Snow just falls.....

Rain can fall in different ways - it can be a downpour (heavy - boncing off the ground), a shower, or a drizzle. snow falls at the same speed whatever (apart from the wind speed).

Scotman - we have considered not having a summer holiday and having a winter one just so we can make snowmen! When it snows make a snowman for me!

I have heard it being called a flurry of snow or snow flurry.
