eeek, on friday night i had a bit of a party after a party i had been at .... made quite a bit of noise with music and dancing... anyway, my downstairs neighbour came up to complain last night, i apologised etc, she was very annoyed though and i can see why and i was thinking of buying a wee box of chocolates and leaving them at her door with a wee card? do you think that would be ok? to say sorry? i don't know her at all by the way, that was the first time i had really spoken to her

The options open are,
1) there is always a out-of-hours phone number available from the Environmental Office at your local council for both private and council tenants.
2) if the police are contacted, it has to be mentioned if the person being subjected to noise etc, is suffering from any medical condition which might be accerbated by the noise, as the police catergorise this type of issue. After all, they would far sooner deal with a problem if the person has a cardiac condition than wait untill it has kicked off and a cardiac arrest has commenced.
