Bad tummy whilst pregnant
2 Answers
My partner is about 11 weeks pregnant and has had sickness for the last two months or so.
However, last night she was more sick than usual and I had bad guts too. We had eaten chicken for our evening meal which had been cooked then in the fridge and I can only assume it was that.
Question is, will it harm the baby?

The baby is protected from many harmful bugs as the placenta filters a lot out but it please call your GP or midwife for advice ASAP.
I got mild food poisoning following a meal out when i was 25 ish weeks pregnant. I called the local midwife unit as i was holiday at time and they advised me to keep an eye on the situation going by my account on how i was feeling and what had happened.
I hope she feels better soon
No it wont. I had horrendous diarhoea and vomiting when I was about 11 weeks gone with my son and he was absolutely fine. Just make sure your partner keeps herself well hydrated when the vomiting has gone and has plenty of rest, believe me, she'll need it as it will really wipe her out! Hope she feels better soon x
