I am looking into decorating my conservatory. Can anybody tell me what is the psychology behind having wicker or cane furniture. I admit, such adornments are there now as it was the done thing. But why?

There are uncomfortable, a fire hazzard, flimsly, collect dust and not priced much less than normal furniture.

Is it wrong to put a nice Chesterfield in a conservatory, and why do people still buy cane stuff?

Billy Graham LIVES!!!

Bible bashing one day, sarcastic comments the next...
Why was my question sarcastic ? On the button more like.
Anyhow: Good evening ##Wardy##

Conservatories are now called Occasional Rooms (amongst others) by the property people. Knowing that your cons...sorry occasional room is probably of the large variety, owing to the size of your house, I would say that a Chesterfield would be just fine, after all it reflects the man and it will become your new Den...
Not you dear whiffey, The Land man...
BTW whiffey....What was YOUR question, I only saw the one from your other alias THELAND
Don't bother zapping it I have cut and pasted it...
OH I nearly forgot.......

BUSTED

looks like the multi-windows got u all confused...
OK I am sorry. I didn't mean any harm. Just had a few too many. Can I have a jury of B00s ?

p+m you are my nemesis, I'd like to go shopping with you.
pie + mash......I think he does it on purpose. To get a little reaction!
Where is Theland then, how come he didn't post a response if he doesn't have whiffey's arm up his chuffer?
I imagine the good Theland is reeling with shock at the goings-on here.

p.s. I bet the thread owner is furious.
He might have gone for a poo!

Or he could be watching a porno with his wife!
His initial comment at 19.27 was very whiffeyesque, especially the 10p in the charity box bit...
Wardy....No it is not wrong to put a chesterfield in the conservatory.

They still buy cane furniture becaus that's what's in the Argos catologue!

How are you this evening?
Have you ever had one of those moments where a fart begins and just won't stop, goes on and on, occasional pauses, but a connected whole. You stand still, hoping for the best of the odours, why spread them into the hall. You bend down to savour the best bits and are thankful for fibre and sprouts.
Ha ha ha Keep digging whiffey!!!
Sorry about that. Just thinking of Billy Graham, wicker /cane chairs, and glad to not be standing behind whiffey recently.
May be so then pie + mash.

Whiffey....I am going to heaven!
