dizzy moment!

i have just filled my hubbys diesel car with petrol. !!!!!!!!!
i havent started the engine, but am waiting for the rac to tow me to a garage. is that the only option ? anyone know how much they will charge me ????????

It may just be a case of draining the tank.

Internet cafe at the petrol station Pink, its obvious! Always the first thing to do when you have a mishap like that

petrol station is opposite my house and rac are going to ring me ! it was on empty and i put �35 worth in. i did not even try to start it, i realised as soon as i had finished !

its worse if you put diesel in a petrol but even so they will laugh at you quite a bit and its a fiddly process draining the tank so take several big notes with you

Cant you get any diesel in it at all ? if you can fill it right up with diesel it will be a bit lumpy but it will work, only other option is to drain the tank.

some of you (men) are very cruel
The RAC man was brilliant. He towed me to a garage who are going to drain the tank. It will cost about �150, which i suppose is not bad. He bought me a cuppa when we got to the garage, and he gave me a lift home! Ten out of ten for the RAC !
He told me that he gets called out often to this type of incident, but it is more often MEN - and they drive away before they remember.! That made me feel a tiny bit better !
