Has anyone tried the hip and thigh diet? I want to lose weight mainly on those places... any tips/advice?

i used this when i developed an intolerance to dairy produce, as it is basically a very low fat diet- lost a stone in a month and felt great- but i think any low fat diet would maybe have had the same result
I tried it years ago. It did make me lose weight but my skin became really dry - probably advisable to drink lots of water if doing this diet.

Yes it does come off your hips and thighs. I lost it from tummy too - I think it depends where your main fat stores are. The main rule is eating no fat and very low fat foods. I can't remember now whether it was foods containing less than 5% fat you'd need to check one of the books. I still make the dry fry potatoes in the oven. You cut potatoes into wedges and par boil them in water with a veggie stock cube in it then put them on a non stick baking tray and pop in oven for about 20 mins til crispy. They're really nice.

I knew someone who tried this diet. Unfortunately she lost weight on the thighs and gained it on the hips.
I did it years ago and the weight fell off me.

pink fizz - can you remember what kind of food you ate?
God,if I remember rightly I think that you were meant to only eat foods with less than 3% fat in them.In other words,loads of fruit and veg,lean meat,and for everything else you had to really look closely at labels.Its amazing how much fat is in the daftest of things.But it works - I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks and then 2-3 a week.
