Getting away for a while

I am separated from my husband after 30 years. The kids are grown and got their own homes, but there is so much pressure on me with them all arguing, my husband left me loads of debt and won't discuss anything. I desperately need some time away. Does anyone know of anywhere cheap? I don't mind working holidays but I am at the end of my tether.

the change will do you good, not sure about cheap places away or jobs, but cruise liners need people, cleaners chambermaids etc, also a few jobs supply accomodation, just have a look,

Hi sapphire Firstly I'm sorry for your troubles. You should go along to your Citizens Advice Bureau and take all your relevent papers with you. They shoud be able to advise you re the debts. They should also be able to tell you if you should be claiming any benefits etc. Dont worry about discussing anything, its all confidential. I would do that first and then think about getting some time away. best of luck and be positive. Skylight

Don`t run away from it all as it will still be there when you get back and probably be worse, get it sorted now,

As for your husband, don`t let him get away with it, slippery b@stard thats he is...why should you suffer?

Your husband has not left you loads of debt he is just as liable for it, don't sell yourself down the river, do you own your own home ...... get it sorted and get what is rightfully yours and then have a holiday!

Have you got a solicitor yet sapphire? If not,get one. You should be able to get legal aid. My ex left me with a shedfull of debt but my solicitor sorted it for me by tracing my ex. I know you feel like walking but see things through first! Dont let your other half leave you saddled with a load of debt and damn well tell your family you need their support right now!!

for debt advice, register with this website, and use the forum, its great, also some of the users are experts just tell them your troubles and you will recieve only sound advice
