Over the last 3 years so many people have commented on how much weight I've lost, even prompting people to ask if i've been eating properly or not. My friend has a picture of me of when we first met that others haven't recognised me on because i look like i've lost so much weight now.

I look significantly thinner than I did then, however, i've actually put on about a stone in actual weight.

Does anyone know what the reason for this may be? I don't really do any weight training or anything to build up muscle and eat far more healthily than before.

Even over the last few weeks i've had friends comment but i still seem to be putting actual weight on!!!

i don't understand :(

strange that usat this-im suffering the same. i looked bigger 3 yrs ago, but was lighter than i am now. I was 9 st them, ad im now 10st 4, but look slimmer, with people telling me i look skinnier and why have i lost so much weight even though ive gone up a dress size, from 10 to 12.
I also eat more healthily now than before, maybe we are getting good weight on to places our body wants rather than bad fat which was stored wrongly,

I want to know too!

jenna neither do i lol, have exactly the same thing do no weight training however i look slimmer now than i did at 18 yet im more than a stone heavier! bizzare isnt't it, all i can think of is my posture has maybe improved, know i havent grown.

Also my weight is 12 and a half stone (im almost six foot) i look very slim but my optimum weight is 11, doesnt make sense.

my dress size is 14 and it was the same when i was 11stone
Jenna huni i wouldn't get too hung up on weight, as long as you eat healthily and look after yourself it doesnt really matter about a few pounds here and there, dress sizes are far less important than being happy and healthy. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This is a fact of life .Women tend to put on and lose weight at various times during their life . I am pushing 60 .When I was young I weighed 8 stone on a good day . Once I got married I put on weight ..contentment and the pill. Then it evened out again .Then pregnancy ..and another one ...then back to normal ..then womens problems ..then back to normal..then thyroid problems ..I could go on and on ...why are people so obsessed about their weight !! I now weigh eleven stone having dieted down from nearly fifteen stone after being diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. When you have to diet because of a medical condition then you have to do it !! .It's all to do with your bone structure as well. If you are big boned and tall (like I am ) you will still be big even if you are slim. The weight will just be in the right place .Just eat sensibly ..cut out the fats and do moderate exercise every day, walking ,swimming etc.Get a damn great dog like I have and charge round the park three times a day !! By the way when I was eight stone I looked like a pipe cleaner .I much happier at eleven stone for my height and bone structure. You will only lose weight if you burn off what you eat.
Is it possible that you are wearing different styles of clothing which would give the appearance that you are slimmer when you are actually the same?

I don't know either, really, it is mysterious.
Jenna please.....stop now!
is this another anorexic theme?
