It is �100 if you live with somebody else that qualifies for it,if you live on your own it is �200.

lilacben, they would get the �100 each. as they both qualify, but a single person over 60 gets �200. and when they reach 80 it goes up to �300.

Put it like this...I am not yet sixty but MR S is 60 ... so he qualified for the two hundred pounds this year .You must be single or living with someone who does not qualify to get that amount .When I am sixty we will get a hundred quid each and then world war three will break out as we argue about the thermostat and how high or low it should be !!

It doesn't matter how many peeps live in the property - the thermostat setting would be the same for 1 as it is for half a dozen.

Unless of course in the shaney household - where the butler generates lots of heat, ironing the newspapers and cleaning the windows with the microfibre cloth from Lidels!!

Well this is it P+M ....the Butler was most annoyed .....he's still on half a crown a week !! He goes through Brasso at a rate of knots. He's not getting any of our heating allowance ....I've rigged him up a primus stove in the pantry !
