2. Have you ever seen/or do you have an outie belly button that's pierced?
3. If you were to put a telescopic camera inside you, what would your belly button look like from the inside? Would it be smooth or would there be a big knot-type lump? (This is actually something I've always wondered-sad eh?)
1) I have an outie 2) no lol and 3) I'd imagine that the part of umbilical cord thats attached at birth on the inside would fall off as the front connection does on a baby so it'd be smooth but maybe with a little lump but it's just a guess, I'm no expert!
innie its a bit of an odd shape though. I have seen an outie pierced, it looked a bit weird.
As for the inside of your belly button, its just skin fused to the abdominal wall. Have wondered this question myself and asked my mum, will actually trust her knowledge on this one cause shes a midwife.
When I had my belly button pierced I asked him about innie and outie belly buttons.
He said that an outie was the result of a 'bad technique' by whoever cut the umbilical cord and tied it.
I have asked mum and she says thats not true. its more to do with ur stomach muscles, something to do with them closing, if they join completely you'll have an innie, if they dont youll have an outie. I think thats probably because you can then lay fat down behind the belly button thus pushing it out, where as if they are closed and the skin is joined to the abdominal muscle walls, you'll have an outie.
I knew wondering about this sort of rubbish stuff would come in handy one day.
I shall go to bed now and hopefully in the morning find I have lots of new belly button info supplied by knowledgeable ABers plus small demographic of types of belly buttons.
