thanx curly

really upset me was a birthday card, person thinks ive forgotten
First class is first class, you can stick 50 stamps on it, it still goes the same old first class I'm afraid!!

I don't think they guarantee next day delivery do they!
If mail has an EX post code, may be late coz the that sorting office is on strike.
Also the fact that Xmas is only 3 weeks away, mean they are very busy!!

Patience is a virtue, posses it if you can, never found in a Woman, seldom in a Man!!
soz bambiboo but I would have bunged it in the post the night before; you just can't rely on the post.
Amazingly I ordered a small kids toy online one Sunday afternoon and it arrived on my doorstep Monday morning! You never can tell~~~#
you can use guaranteed next day delivery, costs a couple of pounds though

Pippa, I wouldn't dream of using such profanity in the presence of young ladies!!
Blimey..me included?
I worked as a postman temporarily a couple of years ago and was amazed to find out that putting extra postage on parcels/letters slows the whole mailing process down as the machine that reads them throws a wobbly and it gets rejected.

I think in this case you did more harm then good by adding an extra stamp when it did not need it !
hello
just checking that got there in time
Bear in mind that you need a different kind of stamp for larger than "normal" letters now. If the envelope was a square shape rather than DL shape then you would need a "large" stamp as the catagories are letter, large letter and parcel now.
