can a man ride a motorbike without knowing how to ride a bicycle?.I think they can, what about ur opinion

It's the same principle (balancing on two wheels) but there's something about the weight, balance and low centre of gravity of a motorbike that does make it easier to keep upright. Having said that, motorbikes being so much heavier, more expensive and easier to damage, I can't conceive of anyone testing this in practice!

Unless you had zero coordination of your feet (which would be unlikely as you need them for gears and brakes on a motorbike) and couldn't pedal I don't think so.....and while I'd agreee with mike about good balance of motorbikes it's mostly true at fast speeds....at walking pace or below a motorbike becomes harder to handle than a pedal bike.

No.I have had both.Learning to ride a motorbike without having rode a bicycle is more difficult.You have to cope with the extra weight,faster accelaration and concentrating on the use of the accelerator and clutch.Trying to concentrate on balancing is corrupted when trying not to crash into a wall or lamp post at 20+mph.

Of course he can! Obviously knowing how to ride a bicycle first would make it easier to learn how to ride a motorbike but wouldn't be a prerequisite. I reckon he'd just have to do loads of pull offs slowly in first gear to get used to balancing, but I remember having to do that too - to get used to the clutch.

Having re-read the question,then dave is right.A person can learn how to ride a motorcycle without having a bicycle first.In my previous reply I was making the point of it being more difficult not having ridden a cycle first,but that was not answering the original question.Sorry.
