How can I weight more than 1/2 stone more in one room than in any other room in my house? I tested this last night & all readings were taken with 10minutes of each other.

Although my mind boggles at why you would want to weigh yourself in all the rooms in your house within the space of 10 minutes, I have two possible reasons: if weighing yourself on different scales, there can be considerable difference between sets of scales - it's always best to use the same ones if you're taking a series of measurements. Second reason is depth of carpet - scales need to be on a firm surface, and yoy'll get strange readings if they're on a springy surface.
...or maybe the floor is not straight, slightly shifting your weight away from the centre of the scales (similar to the carpet theory I guess). Think this would make you lighter not heavier though - so maybe you have serious subsidence problems in your house ;-)
Was one of the rooms the kitchen :>)...if not the above answers all seem quite likely to be the culprit with the inbuilt inaccuracy of your scales being most likely.
If I were you I'd take the lowest reading and always weigh yourself there - perhaps that is the room you are most comfortable in - unless you are really skinny and underweight, then take the highest reading and weigh yourself there - whatever the reason it will make you feel much better about yourself......think I might go and try the same!
you got a prognosticator in the heavy room? Or Cavorite in the light room? that could be it.

thanks for the comments. I usually weight myself in my spare room & because I had a guest staying used my main bedroom & when my weight had suddenly increased I tested other rooms. I even tried different parts of the room cos I couldn't understand it. However I do know which room I shall not be weighing myself in in future
If you weighed yourself in an upstairs room, it would be less than downstairs, because it is further away from the centre of the Earth, and therefore the force of gravity would be less. So if your upstairs room is, say, 200 miles higher than your downstairs room, then you would be about a stone lighter.
