They might be frightened of all sorts of things, i.e. getting changed by the people they are with and just suppose something happened, it would be them that got blamed for it wouldn't it? I say leave well alone and help out in the hostels and put up soup kitchens, safer that way!

crete I think alot of the time as nic has tried to say that Is that a lot of these people can get help. I have sat and taken time speaking to the homeless and a lot are just too stubborn to talk to family or are so into drugs they cant help themselves. I wouldnt let them into my house, but I would help out at the YMCA for xmas day. Very good question.
Yes and have done ( well my wife did actually). No theft, no arson, no throwing up on our furniture, no getting p1ssed out of her face and no getting my kids hooked on drugs amazingly enough. She was a very nice girl, who used our address afterwards as a means to recieve mail and get herslef sorted out.
There is a vicar I kow who always has two or three homeless people over Christmas in his house and I don't think he's ever had a real horror story happen in 30 odd years of doing so.
