Is anyone else on this website?
Am thinking of joining, time to get back 'out there' after my last relationship.
Is it worth it? Have you met any nice people or has it been what I dread, a mortifying experience where nobody wants to meet you?

go to http://www.friendsreuniteddating.co.uk/ and give it a go, very cheap and local people on there!!
I know which websites to visit but I'm really wondering about experiences, whether it has been easy, fruitful or indeed the very opposite.
At this very early still-thinking-about-it stage it just seems that you can't believe half of them anyway. I mean, if they're all telling the truth there aren't half a lot of super fit, witty, sexy single guys out there.

I have met a few people from the internet in the real and all have been exactly as they had described themselves or had appeared, mainly just meeting up at gigs mind.
Although only one of them was on the premise of a date, either way he was still just as lovely off line as he was on.
id think about a myspace account if I were you, I get asked out at least every other day on there. You could see how you fair. Maybe answerbank need to incorporate a dating service into the works.

I was on Match.com a few years ago and wrote to a few people, but when I met them there was no 'spark'. However I joined GuardianSoulmates at the beginning of this year, not really expecting much, just met one man in fact who I'd really been enjoying writing to - wasn't even going to turn up for our first date until my mum talked me into it (I'm 33!). To cut a long story short he is the loveliest man I have ever known and we just got engaged last month! So have faith and give it a go!
Bertie Bunny that is a fab story, congratulations! I have been on a few dates from guys i have met online, some good dates some not so good. The last one i had was with a man i had met from My Single Friend..He seemed lovely on email and the phone, but the date we had was a disaster. He spoke about himself loads, then at the end of the night he asked me back to his house; to which i politely declined..He got the hump wth me1 So i left..That hasn't put me off though, i just laughed and put it down to a bad experience...x
I met my lovely partner on Match.Com three years ago and last October we had a little boy together. He is the love of my life and best of all, my dog of eight years loves him. I had a few frogs before him but it was all worth it. I don't think online dating has the stigma that it once did, and best of all you get the chance to establish a written relationship online before you take the plunge and meet them face to face. So much nicer than having a drunken rendezvous in a bar....no?
