non-existent social life
3 Answers
i have a big blossoming circle of friends online, there's always someone that i can talk to. but i'm beginning to feel this might not be enough. i have a few close friends in real life, but none of them live anywhere near me. i need to make more friends in town. but i have no idea how to go about having a social life. i have little money, and i'm quite shy, but i'm prepared to overcome that. (the shyness anyway, not so easy to overcome having no money.) does anyone have any suggestions?

Like all challenges in life, you only reap what you sow and so it is down to you. You have to work to become part of a social circuit and network - once you overcome your shyness, you need to get out and about - join various clubs, do a course at college, go out on a Saturday night - but don't be afraid to converse with people. Practise the art of conversation. To get the money to be able to socialise you could better yourself - get a different job - do another part-time job. YOU are the only one who can change YOUR life - make 2007 the year that YOU make a difference!
