Who here holds a grudge?
If someone has challenged your opinion or post, or told you off, or got abusive, how long do you let it bother you?

we all know of ward and fina and johnlambert and many with the russian, but any others festering away that others may not be aware of?

I have no grudges - i can be quite outspoken, and don't always consider how things may read at the other end, but i rarely even remember the posts or the name of the person/s involved, nor have I ever been especially offended by anyone, so i do not hold grudges.

so, do you get so upset you cannot let it go?

Na, life's too short for grudges innit! anyway I expect there are far more serious things to get upset about than someone on a website disagreeing with you. As far as people getting abusive I think that would be their problem not mine. Happy New Year joko and everyone.

I think it depends on what the person has done. If somebody has gone out of there way to cause trouble for me, i'll let it go the first time around, but certainly not the second. There are some real jealous people in the World that want to see you fail and try to make your life as miserable as possible. Hopefully Karma will come around and bite them on the bum though!

I don't hold grudges on here, tho admitterly their have been times when a couple of AB's on here have wound me up, that i've dreamt of meeting up with them to give them a slap, but i'm very outspoken so i suppose that certain post i deserve.

I don't hold grudges with anyone - either on here or in real life. What's the point and what does it achieve ? Nothing. Life's too short to become consumed with hate and I think it's a bit sad really to let things fester like that to such an extent that you can't eat or sleep for thinking about the hatred you hold for another. I have been on the receiving end of someone's vicious rants only a couple of times on here (for holding a different opinion) but in situations like that I react on here the same way I would in real life - with total indifference. If someone is incapable of speaking to someone else without resorting to personal insults then they have lost their whole argument anyway imo and there's no point continuing a conversation with them when they are in that frame of mind because you are only fuelling their anger lust. I think it's better to let them have their rant and hopefully they'll feel better when they've got it out of their system. Sadly , there are some people both on here and in real life who you know would start a fight in an empty house !

Without naming names , I can see why some people might get rattled though at posts which continually personally insult them (often in the most grotesque way ) and/or their family. It's easy to say 'Oh but you don't know each other , so why is it bothering you ?' but continuous vicious remarks every time they log on must mar the enjoyment they once had from using AB. So peace to all and have a happy New Year x

hi, i generally dont even remember people's names even when we've has a large disagreement. there is one person i am wary of, although don't necassarily "hold a grudge" against. She has intelligent posts, but im very way of disagreeing with her, as i feel like her friends will gang up on me
There is one person i have an all out grudge against, and really really dont care how insulted they feel by me. i cannot take any of their posts seriously, because they never ask questions but insist on posting racist and sexist (and boring) jokes, which offend me on every level, not least because they clog up the body and soul section, whilst having nothing to do with body and soul. this grudge will always remain, as the poster once threatened to commit suicide, then went offline for a few hours, came bacl and said they felt better. I really really think that is one of the most unfair things you can do.

To be honest with you, i don't really let anything on here bother me. After all, i don't know any of you personally this is just cyber space. I also think that many of the replies to my answers have been very helpful and reliable! Of course there has been a couple of occasions when you think " hmm that is an offensive/stupid/ or whatever answer" but then it just goes straight over the top of my head!!x
