What dress size do you think or class as being overweight/obese? & which sizes do you class as being underweight? I myself think perhaps 18+ size is getting to be overweight/obese.
And i think that under a size 8 is underweight.
i dont see the obsession with people wanting to become a size 0, in America they even have bootcamps for women to become a size 0 which i think is ludicrous!

this is an impossible question to answer someone who is 5ft 1 could look a little chubby at a size 10 or 12 where as someone who is 5ft4 would look slender and someone who is over 5ft 7 could look skinny. An 18 on someone of each of those heights would go from looking, obese, to fat, to curvy.
It all depends how tall you are....Im the same size as a friend of mine but as she is about 4inches smaller she looks quite.....chubby
I think everything depends on the individual themselves, height, build, bone structure, all sorts.

Someone who has a naturally tiny frame can be a perfectly healthy size 8 say whereas someone who has a naturally larger frame, hips and a chest would just look wrong as a size 8.

I'm naturally curvy with child bearing hips (as my mother calls them) and voluptuous (36G) and only 5'2, the typical female shape on my mother's side, in my tiny days people used to say I just looked wrong and ill even though people smaller than me looked fine as it was their natural body shape.
I think people are too obsessed with weight full stop.
Yes there are obese people out there and sometimes it's not their fault ...it's a medical thing .And ..yes there are some gluttons walking about .
I have size 18 niece ..no way is she obese ..she is over six feet tall and big boned and would look ridiculous if she was thin . She is not fat by any stetch of the imagination. It's her build. She is a very attractive girl and I am sure her husband would rather cuddle her than a bag of bones.
Bit of sweeping statement that anyone who is an 18 is obese.
I think if you lined up a row of women and were asked to guess their dress sizes, most of us would get them wrong. I have been everything in my life from a 10 to an 18 . Like Jenna,I am pear-shaped,and a 36G bust. When I was skinnier I looked so out of proportion. I don't actually care what the dress size I take is, I go by how my clothes feel and how I look in the mirror. And as all shop sizes come up different anyway, well if one thing is a 12 in one shop that fits, and a 16 in another, how can you tell anyway.

Just out of interest,my b/f has twice bought me clothing 2 sizes too small as he is convinced thats the size I am - wally! lol

Thanks for your answers, i didnt mean to offend anyone. i just wanted to know peoples opinions, and i understand that some people look different with different sizes.
i'd agree with your estimate.

clothes sizes are the same no matter what your height - it is weight that affects the visual appearance

a 5" 9 woman who weighs 11st will look well proportioned and fit, but a 5"2 woman at the same weight will be chubby.
