Christmas at home

Ive stayed at home for christmas for years, i want to do something different next christmas, maybe go abroad? or stay somewhere nice here , any of you been abroad over christmas? if so is it any good.. thanks

We went on a Caribean cruise for Christmas a couple of years ago. The ship was decked out for christmas. Plenty of entertainment. Christmas day was spent on the beach and then a lovely meal in the evening. At midnight there was carol singing with a choir around the atrim and Santa came to see all the children on Christmas morning. It was brilliant. After breakfast back in the cabin was a lovely holdall on wheels and a smaller bag inside. A gift from the cruise line and a bag of sweets and biscuits.

Went to the Maldives a few years back over Christmas and New Year - whilst it was fairly novel Scuba diving on Xmas day as opposed to falling asleep in front of The Great Escape, I have to say I don't think I'd go away at Christmas again.
