What is wrong with people these days?
38 Answers
I left for work this morning to find a boy of about 12 weeing in front of my house. His mother was just stood there watching. I said "Er exsqueeze me, what do you think you're doing?" and answer came there none so I said "Where do you live? Shall I come and wee on your front step or would that not be very nice?" and again not a peep from either and him having finished they scuttled off up the road.
Just before Christmas someone cr4pped on my front step. I mean don't people have toilets? What happened to self control and respect?

I've opened doors for the elderly and got no thanks, just a gruff if i'm lucky. And given up my seat for a young pregnant lady on a train in london just before xmas and she just looked at me as though it was expected (and it wasn't one of the special labelled ones either), with no words of thanks. Oh how i was tempted to say something, but didn't want to lower myself to being so rude..
Just wanted to air my views and get rid of my annoyance ...

Hmmm, i agree with you on the respect issues. Nobody seems to have any morals any more. Its disgraceful. The environment is changing now and for the worse. Look at the women these days, they act more like men. Society needs a new leader. Someone like me. i am just biding my time, until my moment comes...
Anyway, on the weeing issue. Its the upbringing. its not the young lads fault. But then again , he could have a medical issue. Also, how do you know it was human crap on your doorstep? It could have been an animal. I dont know where you live, but i heard there was a 'larger than life' squirrell which escaped from some government research center just before xmas. that was apparently leaving excrement in public places...

I have 2 boys, the youngest who is 5 sometimes does need to wee while we're out, it happens!! but I do look for a place I hope wont be offending anyone. I certainly wouldn't take him in front of someones house!
My bf told me just before christmas...he was waiting at the bus-stop with about 9 other passengers, when the bus came a elderly lady was struggling the step, so the lady next to him put her hand on her arm to help. the elderly lady pulled her arm away & shouted "get your arm off me, I dont need your (F ing) help" bf said he could see the lady was upset & he told her she could help him on instead which she did lol & he said thank you, then every other passenger waiting said the same thing, even a couple of teens :-)..in the end she helped 9 people on the bus. & everyone laughed!! But how rude was that elderly lady??

I just heard on the police radio that an extremely distressed deaf lady has complained about someone peeping at her fragile blind adolescent son whilst relieving himself.
The person who was peeping was apparently really agressive to the mother and son and apparrently made obscene threats. i might not be you, but be wary...

Reminded me of the time I looked out of my kitchen window
and found myself face to face with a utilities worker peeing in the drain grate for the kitchen sink. He did a lovely job with the bleach and scrubbing brush, while his friends all watched from their van laughing and pointing, I got a huge bunch of flowers from his company too boot. Ill mannered git!!!!! I told him he could use the bleach and brush or spend a couple of hours explaining to the local bobby why he was trespassing in my garden, and exposing himself outside my window. So RUDE!
I cannot vote for Mr Benn as P.M. he might go to a shop tomorrow and change his mind about his career preferences. lol.

Hi Sloow_Jo, I know that younger children sometimes just can't hold themselves but this kid was old enough to know better. The fact he was doing it is bad enough but the fact his mother was stood there like it was a perfectly normal thing for him to be doing at half 8 in the morning.
And Ratter, I can't bear the lad phenomenon. I am for equal rights and all that jazz but I hate the whole pint downing, staggering around drunk business but I also ask, what happened to the courteous gentleman?
I hate the general attitude of both sexes. Nobody sits up straight anymore, it's a slouch with the legs wide open, the litter dropping, the spitting, the sniffing, the coughing without a hand over the mouth. It's like we're moving back in time, becoming cave people all over again.

i know this is something and nothing really, and not something that affects anyone else but......we were in london last weekend and ate out each day and i commented to my husband about the amount of people that dont put their knives and forks together when finished eating. Also experienced the NOT holding doors open or please and thank you's where appropriate. Makes it difficult to bring up children 'properly' these days. In a couple of years there will be no manners at all. Everyone seems to just please themselves and do exactly what they want. Such a shame, what is the country coming to??
I should have added my other son is 11 this month & he can contain himself lol what happened to you was wrong on all counts really, the age, the act, the ignoring you!! Lawd knows what I would have done faced with the same thing!! what loosehead suggests probably lol
& dont even get me started on spitting.....grrrrrr

I remember when I was helping handicapped children gain confidence and acceptance in the community by showing them building skills. One poor lad, who had severe bladder problems was caught short. He was very embarassed and shy so I knocked on a local door to see if we could use the loo. There was no answer.
I advised him to relieve himself down the drain of a local house, out of sight of the general public to avoid further embarrassment. He was so thankful for my advice.
Anyway, as he was weeing with dignity, there appeared from nowhere a woman with a bottle of bleach and a brush. The poor man was mortified and was told he was going to go to prison if the local bobby was called, which due to his mental ability, he strongly believed. He was ordered to scrub away at the drain. The other lads were so upset they just starred and screamed from the van. The woman thought they were even laughing!!!!
Anyway, the man was so ashamed he spent all his pocket money on a bunch of flowers for the woman. He never forgave himself and a few months later committed suicide in an horrendous manner. Also, two other lads from the van attempted suicide.
What a tragic story.
