I think it can help you relax in social situations if it's a nervous stammer.

Have you booked an appointment with a speech therapist? Your GP could refer you. They might also be able to help.

I would have thought this was quite a good way to help cure a stammer. Give it a go, what have you got to loose? All the best with it!

there is a group therapy organisation that gareth gates is a part of, they came to Wigan for a conference a couple of years ago.

I'm just saying, because I did it, and it didn't work for me, it was very expensive too!!!!!!!! I just wanted to know if anyone knew of anyone that it actually worked for?

Well I was watching Who Wants to be a Millionaire last night and there was a hypnotherapist on who said his greatest achievement was curing a young child of a stammer. Having said that, I wouldn't imagine it works for everybody. I've tried it for smoking (stopping that is) but it didn't work for me. ;0(
