I have a formal "do" to go to on saturday night and was wondering what foods I could eat during the day that won't bloat me for that night?

I would try to avoid having too many carbs during the day. These can be found in such foods as pasta, potatoes, bread.
Hope you enjoy your "do".
As above and make sure you don't starve yourself for night though-not eating gives me a belly!
avoid rice the day before as it can cause the body to retain water which in turn causes bloating
Veggies like broccoli and onions cause bloating too.

Blimey we're not leaving you with much of an option. Hope its an eating 'do'!
Make sure you drink lots of water to flush your system through minimise water retention. The night before have a glass of hot water and lemon before you go to bed and again when you get up in the morning.

You could make some of your own watercress soup which is very yummy and good for not bloating up. You could have a mug or bowl through the day when you feel hungry, just heat in the microwave. It's only a quick fix though.
If you have a blender you could also make some gorgeous fresh fruit smoothies to drink and grapes are great to snack on.

A nice swim would be good for a gentle tone up, maybe a steamroom or sauna after which should leave you feeling fab and give you a nice glow.

Hope you have a great time x
chazza, why are you bloating in the first place? as stated, bread, pasta and anything gluten based doesn't sound ideal for you. I'd cut out gluten based food for a while and then see how you react when you have a meal with it in. That includes Oxo cubes too btw and bisto etc etc.....
cut out salty foods.

Clenasing foods include celery, watermelon, cucumber.

Dandelion tea is very cleansing.
