Hey Athley, Lol ok well basically i havent long moved out with friends, since september really, live with my best girl mate and a guy mate. Anyways since i have moved out i have been getting coldsores which i just thought maybe i picked up the virus and its coincidence of moving out, until the other night i found the guy mate has been urinating in drinking glasses i his room - and i thought maybe there could be a connection? Embarasing thats why i didnt say...but yeah ive been getting p*ssed off but that really is the final straw there is no need for that is there?
ewwww!! thats disgusting - u wanna kick 'em out.

Its just wrong isnt it tell u what it was i thought it was orange squash but thought it looked dodgy, so smelt it and tell me if im wrong but you know the smell of p*ss when you smell it dont you?
Just a couple of points for reference, freak.
1. Coldsores are caused by a virus , either Herpes Simplex Virus type 1 or 2, not a bacteria.
2. Urine is generally considered to be sterile, unless you have an infection in areas such as the kidney, urinary tract, genitalia etc.
3. If you have any bacterial or viral infection, it is theoretically possible to transmit said bacteria or virus via the urine, but the risk would be extremely low due to the dilution effect, unless it is an infection specifically of the regions mentioned above.
4. A housemate peeing into glasses also used for drinking? How gross is that? Needs a good clip around the ear methinks.
Oh dear that's foul. Unfortunately, chances are if this person has been peeing in glasses he is not of the extremely hygienic type. Does he suffer with cold sores or his girlfriend because if they do the chances are they may have not washed a glass or cutlery after using it, or it is possible you could have shared the same towels or soap in the bathroom. This sort of thing can spread the cold sore virus.

Sorry you've picked up the virus its a nasty and painful thing to have and unfortunately once you have it there is no cure just treatment and trying to prevent them coming out.

:o(

Cheers for that lazygun! yeah its disgusting, i found out this morning and im absolutely livid ykno wheres the respect in that?the fact they arent even his glasses to start with...ugh it makes me want to move out...

Athley - Nah i havent noticed him having any. But i thought in the first place because we have had loads of people over for house parties etc (just friends) that someone may have had the virus and i may have picked it up from a glass not washed properly. Still annoying...seems everytime i get a cold lately i get one of the damn things :(
We dont share the same towells or soap just cutlery and cups plates etc so i bet its from that...unless i got it from kissing my rabbits head heh which i thought maybe another possibility?
Cheers for your advice :)
just out of interest what was said by you and that person???
Question Author
